Terms of Service

Web app and iOS app · Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms govern the use of Hafnium AI, at app.hafnium.ai and in the iOS app, by the businesses that subscribe to it and the people they give access to. Sections 4 to 8 and 16 are the service's disclaimer.

About these terms

Hafnium AI is provided by Hafnium AI ApS, Ny Adelgade 5A, 2. tv., 1104 Copenhagen, Denmark, CVR number 45958302 ("Hafnium", "we", "us"). The business that subscribes to the service is the "customer"; each person the customer gives access to is an "authorised user" or "user".

Hafnium AI is a professional service, sold to businesses and not to consumers. By ordering a subscription, the customer accepts these terms.

Where documents conflict, they apply in this order: the customer's order form and any subscription agreement signed with it; then these terms; then the Data Processing Agreement, for the processing of personal data; and last the Authorised User Terms (section 3).

The service and its Results

Hafnium AI is market intelligence software for institutional and professional investors, delivered through a web dashboard, an iOS app and alerts. The scores, rankings, summaries, explanations, alerts, baskets and other outputs it shows (the "Results") are produced by Hafnium exclusively by an algorithmic analysis of financial news, market data and economic events as they are published, and, where the service says so, generated by artificial intelligence from that information and from what the user asks the service to watch.

A score measures how news or data may move a market, as our models read it. It is not a valuation of a company or an instrument, and it is not an assessment of whether an investment is suitable for anyone.

Accounts and authorised users

  • A subscription covers up to the number of authorised users of the customer's headcount bracket, as set out in its order. The customer decides who its authorised users are, within that number.
  • Each authorised user has a personal account and accepts the Authorised User Terms when signing in for the first time. Those terms cover only the user's individual access, acceptable use and security: they do not bind the customer to further commercial terms, or make a user liable for the customer's fees. Accounts are personal: they may not be shared, and one account may not be used by several people.
  • The customer is responsible for its authorised users' use of the service, and tells us without delay if it suspects that an account is used by someone without permission.

Who may use the service

The customer is responsible for making sure that its access to and use of the service, and that of its authorised users, comply with the laws and regulations that apply to them. The customer must not allow access to or use of the service where that would breach applicable sanctions, export controls or other mandatory legal restrictions. The Results are not intended for any person who is not permitted to receive them under the law that applies to them.

No offer and no advice

The Results are for information only. They are not investment advice, a personal recommendation, an offer, a trading strategy or advertising, and they must not be read as a solicitation or an offer to buy or sell any security or related financial instrument, in any jurisdiction.

The Results do not take into account any customer's or user's objectives, financial situation or needs. Hafnium does not act as an investment adviser, broker or portfolio manager for the customer or its users through the service.

Not investment research or recommendations

The Results are market information and analysis. They are not investment research and not investment recommendations, and they are not produced by an independent research unit. They have therefore not been prepared in accordance with the legal requirements designed to promote the independence of investment research.

Artificial intelligence

Some of the Results are generated by artificial intelligence ("AI"). We work to make them accurate and relevant, but AI-generated Results can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Users should assess them critically and verify them before relying on them. Hafnium accepts no responsibility for errors or omissions in them, or for decisions taken on the basis of them. By using the service, the customer and its users acknowledge that AI-generated content has limitations, and that any decision taken on the basis of it remains their own responsibility.

Risk warning

  • Before entering into any financial transaction, a user should check that the information fits their own situation as to its legal, regulatory, tax and other consequences, with a professional adviser where needed.
  • Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results and is no guarantee of them.
  • The customer and its users confirm that they are aware of the risks inherent in trading and investing, including, without limitation, currency, interest rate, market, concentration and insolvency risk, and that financial transactions can be highly speculative and can result in losses as well as gains.

Headlines, scores and market data

  • The headlines, summaries and scores in the service are Hafnium AI's own: Hafnium produces them from its analysis of news, market data and economic events. They are not republished third-party articles.
  • Prices and index levels shown beside them come from exchanges and data vendors. Neither Hafnium nor they guarantee their accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Prices from some venues are delayed, for example by 15 or 20 minutes; the service says so next to them.
  • The service and its content are provided for the authorised users' internal use within the customer. They may not be shared outside the customer, including with other companies in its group, or redistributed, republished, resold or used to build another product or dataset. Hafnium may restrict or withdraw particular market data where a data provider or the law requires it.
  • Index names and other marks belong to their owners. Their use in the service identifies the instrument and implies no endorsement.

Acceptable use

The customer and its authorised users may not:

  • share their access with anyone who is not an authorised user, or exceed the number of users of their headcount bracket;
  • copy, scrape or extract the service's content or data in bulk, by any automated means other than an interface we provide for that purpose;
  • resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or try to obtain the service's source code or models;
  • interfere with the service's security or operation, or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
  • use the service in breach of any law or regulation, including market abuse rules.

Subscriptions, prices and payment

  • Subscriptions are monthly or annual. The price is a flat price per headcount bracket, the range of authorised users the plan covers (for example 1 to 5 users, or 6 to 15 users), as set out in the customer's order. It does not change with the number of users within the bracket. Prices are stated exclusive of VAT and other taxes, which are added where they apply.
  • Monthly subscriptions are paid by card, in advance, each month, and run for a minimum of three months (section 12).
  • Annual subscriptions are paid in advance for the year, by card, or by bank transfer against an invoice within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • A pilot is a fixed period, such as three months, paid in advance. It ends at the end of that period and does not renew; the service then continues only under a subscription the customer orders.
  • Price changes. We may change the list price of a headcount bracket. A change applies to an existing subscription only from its next renewal, and we tell the customer in writing at least one month before that renewal.
  • Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; Hafnium does not see or store card numbers.
  • A discount Hafnium gives with its confirmation of the order, or that the customer's order states (such as a founding-partner discount), applies for the period stated, after which the subscription continues at the list price of its headcount bracket.
  • Free trial. If we offer a free trial, the paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends, and the payment method the customer gave is charged, unless the customer cancels before the trial ends.

Renewal, cancellation and refunds

  • Minimum term. A monthly subscription runs for a minimum of three months from its start. It cannot end before the end of its third month, and the fees for those three months are due even if it is cancelled earlier.

  • A subscription renews automatically, a monthly one each month after its minimum term and an annual one each year, until it is cancelled as below.

  • Three months' notice. To cancel, the customer gives three months' written notice to contact@hafnium.ai.

    • A monthly subscription then ends at the end of the billing month in which the notice period runs out, and not before the end of its minimum term.
    • An annual subscription ends at the end of its current year when the notice is given at least three months before its renewal date; otherwise it renews for another year and ends at the end of that year.

    The service stays available, and fees remain due, until the subscription ends.

  • Fees already paid are not refunded, for the current period or part of it, except where the customer's order or the law says otherwise.

  • A move to another headcount bracket or billing interval is agreed with us, and takes effect as we confirm in writing.

Suspension and termination

  • If a payment is not made when due, we may suspend access to the service after telling the customer, and restore it once the payment is made.
  • We may suspend or end access for an account, or for the customer, that breaches these terms in a way that harms the service, other customers or our data providers, or where the law requires it.
  • Either party may end the subscription if the other materially breaches these terms and does not remedy the breach within 30 days of being told about it in writing.

Intellectual property and your content

The service, its software, models and methods, its headlines and scores, and its design belong to Hafnium and its licensors. A subscription gives the customer's authorised users the right to use the service for the customer's internal business purposes while the subscription lasts, and no other right.

What users save in the service (their watches, the phrases they ask us to look for, their saved views and settings) remains the customer's. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the service available and to fix problems quickly, but it is provided as it is and as available, without any guarantee that it is uninterrupted, timely or free of errors. We improve and change the service over time, and may change or remove a feature. Where a change materially reduces the functionality of the subscribed service, we tell the customer in advance, and if the reduction is substantial the customer may end its subscription on the date the change takes effect.

No warranty and limitation of liability

  • Hafnium gives no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, reliability, timeliness or completeness of the service, the Results or any information in them.
  • Excluded losses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hafnium is not liable for any trading or investment loss, any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, anticipated savings, business opportunities or data, arising from the use of or reliance on the service or the Results, from their being unavailable, late, incomplete or wrong, or from the risks inherent in financial markets.
  • Cap. Hafnium's total liability arising out of or in connection with the service or these terms is limited to the fees paid or payable by the customer to Hafnium in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
  • The decision to buy, sell, hold or replace any security or financial instrument is the user's alone, and Hafnium is not responsible for it. The customer and its users are solely and entirely responsible for the outcome of their transactions, the structure of their portfolios, the risks they take, the performance of their portfolios and the development of their assets.
  • These exclusions and the cap also protect Hafnium's directors, officers, employees, agents and shareholders, and its third-party information providers.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it, such as liability for gross negligence or intent.

Confidentiality

Each party keeps confidential the non-public business, technical and commercial information the other gives it in connection with the service, including credentials and the terms of the customer's order, and uses it only for the subscription. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party, that it already knew lawfully, that it develops independently, or that it must disclose by law or to an authority.

Service providers and transfer

  • Hafnium may use hosting, artificial intelligence and other technology providers to deliver the service, and remains responsible for the service it provides.
  • Either party may transfer its agreement to an affiliate, or as part of a merger, reorganisation or sale of its business, by telling the other in writing. Any other transfer needs the other party's written consent.

Data protection

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on the customer's behalf, our Data Processing Agreement, part of the customer's order, applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and we tell customers about a significant change at least 30 days before it takes effect. A customer that does not accept a significant change may end its subscription on the date the change takes effect, by telling us before then.

Governing law and disputes

These terms, the service and the Results, and any dispute arising from or in connection with them or their use, are governed by Danish law. Any such dispute is subject exclusively to the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, with the City Court of Copenhagen (Københavns Byret) as the court of first instance.
